Abstract

In present day all the non linear optical phosphors are prepared by keeping view of ecological prospectus and low cast with longer existance. We prepared Ce3+ doped GdCa4O(BO3)3 crystal by solid-state diffusion technique for these aim. Lyoluminescence (LL) of the gamma-ray-irradiated sample was recorded. A single sharp peak was observed in the LL glow curve of the sample. Lyoluminescencce yield depends on many paprameters as; gamma dose, particle size of the sample, amount of the solute, amount of the solvent, pH value of the solvent, temperature of the srroungings etc. Present paper reports dependence of LL of γ-ray-irradiated GdCa4O(BO3)3:Ce phosphors on the mass of the solute and pH value of the solvent. Results show that the LL intensity increases with increasing quantity of solute dropped on to the sample variation in LL intensity with pH is observed.
