Abstract

Objective To study the characteristics of blood glucose changes in patients with hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus complicated with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome(OSAHS)by continuous glucose monitoring system(CGMS).Methods The glucose excursions in 16 subjects with hypertension and type 2 diabetes mellitus combined with OSA HS were determined by CGMS for 72 hours.the severity of apnea was detected with polysomnography(PSG)and blood pressure was monitored by 24-hour ambulatory blood pressure monitoring(ABPM).Results The climax of daily glucose level tended to appear after meals;the daily Slucose levels were lower at night.The day-nocturnal rhythm of the blood pressure disappeared(P>0.05).Conclusion The daily glucose levels are not higher at night,and the day-nocturnal rhythm of blood pressure is abnormal.
