Abstract

The paper describes the methodology for conducting experimental studies, as well as the results confirming the operability and effectiveness of the algorithm for controlling a vehicle only with the help of a pedal in conditions close to operational ones. The study was carried out by conducting a full-scale experiment on an electric bus of a large class of the M3 category. The practical value of the research lies in the confirmed operability and energy efficiency of the algorithm in conditions close to operational ones, which makes it possible to use the algorithm to develop software for vehicle traffic control systems. Keywords energy efficiency, single-pedal control, traction mode, recovery mode, rolling motion, mathematical modeling, pedal stroke, specific energy consumption, experimental studies, operating condition
