Studies of Electrocrystallization Processes Performed at the Laboratory of the Structure of Surface Layers of Frumkin Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry

Abstract

A review is presented of studies performed at the Laboratory of the Structure of Surface Layers of the Russian Academy of Sciences’ Frumkin Institute of Physical Chemistry and Electrochemistry, beginning from the establishment of the Laboratory. The studies are aimed at investigating the deposition of metals and alloys both via electrodeposition and catalytic chemical reduction; developing the physicochemical foundations of the production of composite, nanostructured, and nanosized deposits and materials; and determining their physicochemical, mechanical, and catalytic properties.
