Abstract

Summary From the work reported here it would appear that dairy calves can be. fed economically until six months of age with a self-fed mixture of cracked corn, ground oats, wheat bran and linseed oil meal. The proportions of the feeds in the mixture can be adapted to ruling prices. Alfalfa hay can be self-fed and the milk hand fed according to the requirements of the individual calves.
