Abstract

AbstractThe contribution of electron microscopy, electron diffraction and atomic force microscopy to the elucidation of the structure of polymers ‐in particular helical polyolefins‐ is briefly presented. Particular emphasis is put on the elucidation of rather subtle aspects of the structure, such as disorders introduced by packing of up and down, or left and right handed helices in the lattice. The spectroscopic and diffraction informations are evaluated and compared.
