Abstract

The main effects of N insertion in RFe10.5Mo1.5 compounds are summarized as follows: (i) the volume is increased from 2.2 to 3.0%; (ii) the associated TC is increased by 28% (Gd) to 42% (Er); (iii) the second-order anisotropy constant of the Fe sublattice changes sign; (iv) the preponderant second-order crystal field parameter also changes sign.
