Abstract

Ag added Fe3O4 films are prepared by pulsed laser deposition (PLD) on single crystal Si(111) substrate. Structural and electronic properties of these films are studied using X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman and Valence band spectroscopy (VBS). XRD and Raman measurement confirms that silver is present in metallic form. The VBS measurement shows increase in density of state near Fermi energy and addition of Ag states between Fe3d and O2p states without any hybridization effect.
