Abstract

The elastic stress-strain state of a multi-sheet structure with a straight-through transverse curvilinear crack is under investigation. The structure is made up of several plates and is loaded so that in each of its sheets the stress intensity near the crack tip is a function of four rather than two linearly non-interdependent factors, owing to which the structure with a crack under study differs fundamentally from a single plate with a crack. Asymptotic representations of the stresses and displacement components near the crack tip are given. Also, analytical expressions for the invariant Rice-Cherepanov integrals are given.
