Abstract

The article provides a theoretical processing of the issue of university spin-offs, using available foreign and domestic professional literature, information on the mission and functioning of university spin-offs, the main determinants of their creation and the current state of spin-offs in Slovakia. At the same time, he points out the importance of managerial, economic and marketing skills in managing university spin-off centers. The article presents a literature review of the establishment of spin-off centers in the university environment in the world and in Slovakia.
