This article is devoted to a comprehensive study of the theoretical and methodological principles and practical application of methodological approaches to analysis and effective control mechanisms, which are key to ensuring the sustainable development of business entities in Ukraine amid contemporary challenges. The study justifies the need to integrate various types of analysis: financial, social, environmental, and strategic to make well-considered management decisions. The authors emphasize that effective analysis allows for not only assessing the current state but also identifying growth potential, thereby facilitating business adaptation and recovery in the face of modern challenges. The research highlights the control system as a multi-level structure, with a detailed analysis of control mechanisms for sustainable entrepreneurship. The paper argues that traditional financial analysis, while foundational, is insufficient for assessing sustainable development. Effective management requires its combination with managerial, strategic, social, and environmental analysis. This integrated approach, which aligns with the “Triple Bottom Line” concept, allows businesses to identify risks, discover new opportunities for growth, and make informed decisions by considering all aspects of their impact on the business environment. It is proven that effective control mechanisms are a key guarantee of transparency and accountability. Internal control ensures business process continuity and minimizes risks, which is especially vital during a state of war. State control protects public interests and ensures compliance with legislation, while public control (through non-financial reporting, CSR projects, and ESG ratings) builds reputation and trust, which is crucial for attracting investment. The synergy of these three levels of control creates a resilient ecosystem for responsible entrepreneurship. The article concludes that this synergy provides the necessary level of transparency, accountability, and integrity essential for attracting investment and strengthening confidence in Ukrainian businesses.

(1) Background: A binding recommended retail price has been used in several markets in a variety of forms, and the book market is a typical example. Publishers sell books to online retailers at a unit wholesale discount computed on the cover price. Retailers are then allowed to set the retail price. Therefore, if consumers regard the cover prices as reference points, then they may be more likely to purchase books if retail prices are lower than the cover prices. (2) Methods: We develop a Stackelberg game model for a book supply chain to investigates how reference price effects affect retailers and publisher’s pricing strategies. (3) Results: The results show that retailers will sell printed books at a discount only when the publisher’s wholesale discount rate is not high. Further, as the intensity of the reference price effects increases, (a) the lower boundary of the wholesale discount rate rises, (b) publishers’ profits increase and (c) retailers’ profits increase relative to the level of consumers’ e-books acceptance. (4) Conclusions: This result is related to the fact that the online retailer, such as Amazon and JD.com, like to invoke reference price effects in consumers’ minds by highlighting the printed book’s discount rate.

Underlying this work is the idea that there is a problem of strategic complementarity of individuals who choose to evade, which results from the discretionary policies of governments and the strategic implications of the Studi di Settore (Sector Studies), the mechanism used in Italy to evaluate the income (in reality, the turnover) of some professional categories and small firms. In the Italian case, policy discretion and the Sector Studies lead to a failure of the coordination mechanism of taxpayers and confer a strong advantage for the coordination mechanism of tax evaders. The outcome is a coordination failure where individuals converge to the least efficient equilibrium from a social perspective.
