Abstract

Location, insulation, stress‐relieving, regardless of the materials of construction, contribute much in extending the life of storage tanks. This article discusses factors which either promote the occurrence of local anodes and cathodes or cause abnormal corrosive conditions and shows how they can be minimised by proper design.
