Abstract
After The Ottoman Empire had signed The Armistice of Moudros and The Treaty of Sevres, it caused a desperate result for Turkish people, and Anatolia was almost occupied by the occupying forces. In such a critical and depressed situation Gazi Mustafa Kemal lit the firebrand of The National Struggle for Indepence in Samsun. A lot of intellectual people shared this hard struggle by going to Anatolia. In this term Mehmet Âkif was in touch with Nationalist Forces as a poet, a writer, an intel-lectual and a politician. He explained to Turkish people how much they are right in this struggle. He went on his speeches and meetings to encourage people when he went to Kastamonu, Eskisehir, Burdur, Sandikli, Dinar, Antalya, Afyon, Konya cities such as, etc. Aspired from his work, Mehmet Âkif struggle in The War of Indepence as a dedicated man was tried to be stud-ied in this research.
