Abstract

AbstractMagnetic phase transitions are studied within the Hubbard model using the static singlesite approximation for zero temperature and the Bragg‐Williams theory. For a half‐filled bend, the antiferromagnetic transition comes out reasonably except for small correlation energies. However, the static approximation does not yield ferromagnetism even for large correlation energies.
