Abstract
In this study, three dimensional (3D) femur model is obtained by medical image analysis program using computerized tomography (CT) images. After the model corrections are carried out with the computer aided design (CAD) software, static analysis is done with finite elements method (FEM) under different modulus of elasticity, bending and torsional moments. The analysis results obtained from FEM are compared with the analytical solutions by using regression analysis. It is revealed that FEM is a reliable technique for determination of the stresses occuring at the bone.
