AbstractCommercial Banking (MIC: 8.1 SIC: 6022 NAIC:522110)State Street is a bank holding company, with $87.53 billion in assets as of Dec 31 2003, that conducts business worldwide principally through its subsidiary, State Street Bank and Trust Company. Co. has two lines of business: investment servicing and investment management. Investment Servicing includes primarily accounting, custody and other services for large pools of assets. Investment management offers index and active equity strategies, short‐term investment funds and fixed income products. As of Dec 31 2003, Co. had $1.10 trillion in assets under management.
