Abstract

More details of the recently developed double-arc source which enables the production of He*(2 1,3S) in the superthermal energy range are presented. With this source state-selected chemiionization cross sections of He*(2 1,3S) + H 2 have been measured from 0.1 to 1.6 eV collision energy. The measurements are compared with theoretical results.
