Abstract
Equilibrium stage structures of graphite compounds with CuCl2 and FeCl3 in KCl–CuCl2, NaCl–CuCl2 and KCl–FeCl3 molten-salt systems have been examined by means of the products obtained after a sufficiently long reaction time. The stage formation in molten salts of metal chlorides is explained in terms of the chemical potential of intercalates in the reaction system. The presence of complex compounds of the component metal chlorides in the intercalation is observed.
