Abstract

The use of ultrahigh magnetic fields obtained by imploding liner magnetic flux compression to achieve high density fusion plasmass is described briefly in the context of the NRL LINUS research effort. Recent results demonstrating stabilized, repetitive liner implosions are reviewed and theoretical plasma behavior during liner compression is indicated.
