Abstract

In this work, a solution is presented for the problem of the stabilizability of two interconnected systems with static, linear, local state vector feedbacks. Although the global system, and its two subsystems, are initially defined in state space, an equivalent system defined by an appropriate matrix fraction description (MFD) is determined, for which the problem is solved by applying methods for systems defined in the operator domain. The basis for this is provided by the so-called intercontrollability matrix D(s) of the interconnected system, and the determination of its kernel U(s).
