Abstract

The purpose of JOPA roundtable discussions is to give orthopaedic physician assistants (PAs) insight on how each participating editorial board member would treat certain clinical scenarios at their current practice. For this Sports Medicine Roundtable, JOPA editorial board members will discuss a case involving a 35-year-old man who presents with a persistently painful ankle sprain despite 8 weeks of conservative treatment. This case highlights how complications associated with ankle sprains can prolong the expected recovery time.
