Abstract

Temporary balloon occlusion and prophylactic internal iliac artery embolization are options to reduce the significant hemorrhage which can occur during operative management of placenta percreta. We report an interesting case of spontaneous massive uterine hemorrhage occurring during angiography performed for preoperative temporary internal iliac balloon occlusion.
