Abstract

Nd 1.8Sr 0.2NiO 3.8 powder samples are monoclinic B112/n (C2/c) from 1.5 K to RT. The Ni sublattice becomes 3D antiferromagnetically ordered at T 1 ≈ 320 K and undergoes two additional spin reorientations at T 2≈ 130 and T 3≈ 12K. The last one coincides with the onset of the cooperative magnetic ordering of the Nd 3+ magnetic moments.
