Abstract

The (d, 2He) reactions on 24Mg, 26Mg and 28Si were studied at E d = 270 MeV. The 0 o cross sections obtained for the 1 + states from the 24Mg, 28Si(d, 2He) reactions show a good correlation with those from the mirror (p,n) reactions. Four peaks were identified in the 26Mg(d, 2He) 26Ne reactions as being due to the 1 + excitation. The B(GT +) values for these transitions were estimated and compared with the shell model prediction.
