Abstract
Weak ferromagnetic metals are modeled by a ferromagnetic local Fermi liquid. We study the response of the liquid at the quantum critical point where the magnetization vanishes at zero temperature. At small magnetizations we find an instability towards an s-wave superconducting state similar to the Larkin–Ovchinnikov–Fulde–Ferrell state. A non-Fermi liquid state is approached in the vicinity of the classical critical point. The phase diagram of a local Fermi liquid is described.
