Abstract
Results of calculations on spectral profiles of a laser line propagating along collisionally pumped X-ray lasers are presented. The strong collision model and density matrix components are used to describe the active medium kinetics. Propagation is modelled with the standard radiative transport equation. The results are related to other calculations and to limited experimental data. Arbitrary broadening is assumed and the resulting Voigt profile is calculated by the adapted Kielkopf approximation method, enabling considerably faster calculations.
