Abstract

A single-pulse Raman scattering system based on a flashlamp-pumped dye laser is presented. Results from temperature and concentration measurements in a lifted H2/air jet diffusion flame are shown. A comparison with investigations performed with a KrF excimer laser is given. Advantages of combined Raman/2D LIF measurements are demonstrated and discussed. The problem of spatial resolution is addressed.
