Abstract
We report on identification of excitonic transitions in PL spectra from single quantum dots in a self-assembled II–VI semiconductor system. Different types of experiments were performed on two sets of luminescence lines. Temporal coincidence of line energy jumps (originating from Stark effect) allowed us to identify spectral lines related to the same spatial origin. We assign the corresponding lines to exciton, charged exciton and biexciton. This hypothesis was confirmed by energy positions, analysis of anisotropic exchange splitting, measurements vs. magnetic field and at different excitation conditions.
