Abstract

The article identifies the phenomenon of spatial factor and its influence on the organization and development of urban systems; a methodological toolkit for exploring urban and territorial space is proposed; The approaches to its consideration in the context of the strategy of urban development and urban development are substantiated. Emphasis is placed on the influence of intangible factors on the spatial organization of cities and territories. Among the intangible, the main focus is on the moral and environmental imperatives, which are one of the defining features of the spatial structure of urban systems.
