The spasmolytic activity of diterpenoid alkaloids of various structural types that were isolated from plants of the genera Aconitum, Delphinium, and Consolida and their synthetic derivatives was studied in vitro using the barium-chloride contraction model of isolated sections of rat and rabbit small intestine. The structure–activity relationship of the spasmolytic activity was analyzed.
