Abstract

The pattern of alligator nest location is measured for four consecutive years across a set of quadrats on Orange Lake (Alachua County) Florida. The nests are clumped, and this clumping is evident even given controls for habitat heterogeneity. The recent recovery of Alligator mis- sissippiensis from endangered status has generated a significant renaissance of research into this reptile's biology.
