Abstract

This paper proposes a novel sound source separation (SSS) for a multi-path automatic speech recognition (ASR) system that is able to cope with simultaneous utterances in a smart car. The proposed method significantly reduces speech recognition errors, which is caused by interfering speeches of passenger, and makes it possible to recognize each desired speech present in a target direction with high accuracy even though more than one passenger utters simultaneously.
