Abstract

Esophagitis dissecans superficialis is a rare and benign disorder of the esophagus that can appear severe and frightening at first glance. It is characterized by the extensive desquamation of the mucosal epithelium and the formation of tubular casts. This case report presents a 66-year-old female patient complaining of persistent phlegm and acid reflux, who was diagnosed with esophagitis dissecans superficialis on endoscopy.
