Abstract

The properties of D-optimal designs for multiresponse models are explored using the Equivalence Theorem by Fedorov ["Theory of Optimal Experiments," Academic Press, New York, 1972]. For some classes of multiresponse linear models, the results can be applied to simplify complicated multiresponse experimental design problems or to reduce multiresponse experimental design problems to single-response experimental design problems using the D-optimal design criterion.
