Abstract

Three types of multiband sensors—multilens photographic systems, optical-mechanical scanners, and certain radar devices—are examined and their respective current capabilities to provide multiband data are reviewed. Information is presented, based on our research results and observations regarding these systems, which may help others to decide whether multiband spectral reconnaissance is, in part or wholly, the solution to their resource inventory problems.
