Abstract

This paper presents a model of the microexplosion of drops of a waterfuel emulsion, based on the heterogeneous scheme for the formation of inclusions of a specific phase in superheated water. A drop of emulsion with radius R /SUB d/ , which includes a spherical volume of water is examined. It is shown that for a fixed volume concentration of water in the fuel, from the viewpoint of a microexplosion the case when one large particle of water rather than many small particles of water is present in the fuel drop is preferable.
