Abstract

The following illustrated notes concerning royal canopic jars from Thebes were gathered as comparative material for a republication of the Wady Qirud tomb of Tuthmosis Ill's three Asiatic wives. The descriptions vary in extent and are not comprehensive;1 future colleagues may locate objects in the Special Registers compiled in the 1960s that I, with limited time, did not. References to provenance are provided: Porter-Moss (PM),2 as well as to C. N. Reeves' recent study (VK)? Room and vitrine locations as of 1989 are also given, along with Catalogue General (CG), Journal d'Entree (JdE), and Special Register (SR) numbers; the latter are often the most efficient means of locating an object.
