Abstract
In this research, 15 heads of local Awassi ewes have been used to study the effect of animal age and body weight on some blood and biochemical parameters and body dimensions during 2019. The effect of the age of the animal has significantly (P <0.05) on hemoglobin concentration, eosinophils, total protein and globulin. The effect of body weight is significant (P <0.05) on the total number of white blood cells. The age of the animal and body weight has not affect the other blood and biochemical parameters (RBCs, PCV, Neutrophils, Basophils, Monocytes, Lymphocytes, Albumin, AST, ALT). The effect of body weight has significantly (P <0.01) in the breast circumference and (P <0.05) in the height at shoulder and body length, while the age of the animal does not affect the dimensions of the body. Determination coefficient for body weight prediction based on three measures of body dimensions is increased to 99% compared to two measures 91-97% and one measure 36-94%.
