Abstract

In this paper, we apply different techniques, namely, the Jacobi elliptic expansion method, the modified simple equation method, the sine–cosine method, the extended auxiliary equation method, the new mapping method and the improved sub-ODE method for constructing many new types of Jacobi elliptic function solutions, solitons and other solutions to the resonant nonlinear Schrodinger equation with both spatio-temporal and inter-modal dispersions. Comparing our new results with the well-known results are given. Also, we compare the results yielding from the used different techniques with each other.
