Abstract

Sugarcane bagasse surfactant possesses a great potential as local surfactant development material. However, the existing researches regarding sugarcane bagasse as surfactant are still limited on the process of creating surfactant from sulfonation of bagasse lignin, and still unable to cover the Sodium Lignosulfonate Surfactant’s utilization with various concentration and appropriate low salinity on a case of surfactant injection. One of which is by observing surfactant rheology through phase behavior test. The method utilized in this research is a laboratory study by creating a field / reservoir situational conditioning. Surfactant concentration tested in this research were 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8%, 1%, 1,5% at 6000 ppm; 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8%, 1%, 1.5% at 7000 ppm; 0.2%, 0.4%, 0.6%, 0.8%, 1%, 1.5% at 8000 ppm by conducting test results and emulsion stability observations and phase behavior. After the test is done, the next step of the test will be the IFT test. The purpose of this research is to know the salinity and concentration of how surfactans can work optimally.
