Abstract

The article presents the results of empirical studies of students aimed at identifying the socio-psychological state of students as a consequence of the transformation of the educational process under the influence of new social conditions of life. The authors conducted a questionnaire survey of 653 bachelor students studying at the Faculty of Law at Lomonosov Moscow State University in 2022. The respondents answered the questions anonymously. The results of the analysis allowed us to conclude that young people experience a number of psychological difficulties caused by adaptation to the new conditions of life, the breakdown of real communication ties and global social instability. The analysis of the empirical data showed that the most pronounced are the students’ fears related to the sociopolitical situation in the world. Also, a significant part of the students are worried about future employment, career prospects and the prospects of the economic crisis. The result of the article is recommendations for the educational institutions to work with students, which can help to stabilize their psychological condition and help during the adaptation to the new educational and social conditions.
