Abstract
On behalf of the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (SCCT) and the Journal of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography (JCCT), we are pleased to publish this educational supplement of six outstanding reviews on cardiovascular CT. These manuscripts are the result of an awards program conducted at the 2008 annual scientific sessions of the Society, Orlando, FL, on July 18, 2008, called the Siemens Outstanding Academic Research (SOAR) program. The SOAR program and this publication are supported by an unrestricted grant from Siemens Medical Solutions and independently administered by SCCT.
