Abstract

The use of single maintenance and reliver therapy (SMART) is proven to lower rates of asthma exacerbations across all stages of asthma severity and lowers exposure to the overall corticosteroids in comparison to conventional therapy. We surveyed providers who treat asthma and elicited barriers to prescription of SMART with the aim of identifying strategies for wider implementation.
