Abstract

A small electron energy analyser has been built. It is a three-electrode retarding-field type electrostatic analyser with an outside diameter of 2?0 mm and a length of 14 mm. It is self-orientating parallel to a dc axial magnetic field, in order to study electron energy distribution function in a beam-plasma system.
