Abstract
In this paper the exact and asymptotic solutions of the transport equation which governs the stationary energy distribution of neutrons slowed down by a mixture of different elements is obtained in the case of a general scattering and capture law. Specific results are shown for particular cases of the dependence of the cross-sections on the neutron velocity.
