Abstract

Sleep problems are common among older adults. Medications and comorbidities, which are common in this population, as well as, aging is strongly associated with sleep disturbances in the elderly. For appropriate treatment of sleep disorders in the elderly population, clinicians should identify the contributing factors and take a multifaceted approach. In this article, we reviewed common sleep disorders in the elderly and various factors that can disturb the sleep of aged person.
