Abstract

Two dimensional electron system is studied under a strong magnetic field in the presence of a single valence hole at around the electron filling factor νe= 1. In the vanishing limit of the electron Zeeman energy, the ground state shows multi-spin flips forming a skyrmion, which strongly depends on the electron-hole layer distance d. Such spin flips are entangled with the screening effects, which affect the energy shifts of the left circularly polarized photoemission. In fact, photoluminescence energy calculated for infinitesimal and infinite Zeeman energies show a significant deviation at d ≲ 0.2l and d ≳ 1.2l, where l denotes the magnetic length.
