Abstract
This paper presents a new single switched inductor-capacitor coupled transformer-less high gain DC-DC converter which when directly fed from PV in which the low dc output voltage of PV module is converted into high dc output voltage. A state space model of the proposed converter is also presented in the paper. The constant output voltage of 300V is obtained by close loop control of converter using PID controller for different input voltage from PV module. PID controller is designed using Ziegler Nichols Method. Thirty six solar cells are used to design a PV module connected to the dc-dc converter. A MPPT controller using Perturb and Observe algorithm is used to find the maximum power point of the PV module. All the simulations are done in MATLAB-SIMULINK environment.
