Abstract
Abstract Extract Outbreaks of ovine salmonellosis in New Zealand are more common during the period January to May and losses arising from either the explosive form of outbreak or protracted flock infection often warrant the immediate use of vaccine. The significant protection afforded by inactivated bivalent vaccines has been demonstrated in both experimental and field trials (Beckett, 1967; Cooper, 1967; Wallace and Murch, 1967; Rudge et al., 1968; Davis, 1969).
