Abstract

A system for measuring quadrupole coincidences is described which allows the simultaneous counting of true and random events. The system is realized by summing the output pulses of two time-to-pulse-height converters and uses only conventional electronic systems. The results of different experimental tests are reported which support the reliability of the system. The system can also be employed for triple coincidence experiments.
